Children’s Parade

Parade takes place tomorrow. The theme for Middle Street is Noughts and Crosses. Everyone attending the parade should wear black and white. Feel free to be as imaginative and flamboyant as you wish. The children have made flags to carry. Thank you to Mrs Holton and Mrs Purdy who have assisted the children with making flags. Our flag (position) number at the parade is 61 and children and families joining the parade should assemble in Gloucester Street by 10.00. The Samba band should meet Mr Brazil in Gloucester Street at 9.45.

Brighton Morris Men

We hope you all enjoyed the start to the month of May, which we celebrated with the Brighton Morris Men. What a wonderful way to start the day with so much dancing and fun. Many children got the opportunity later in the morning to join the Morris men learning and then performing a traditional dance. If you are interested in seeing more of the Brighton Morris Men a list of dates and performances (held at pubs obviously!) is on the notice board in the foyer.

Year 1 Assembly

Lara made a wonderful duck and Eve a great farmer when Year 1 performed the story of ‘Farmer Duck’. The whole of Year 1 put on a stunning performance of the story for their parents and 2 Junior classes. The 3 narrators were also very impressive speaking very clearly so that everyone could here the story.
Well done Year 1!

Football Tournaments

The Year 6 football team played at Varndean College on Wednesday. They played very well. The same team with some additions from Year 5 played in a tournament at Waterhall on Thursday. The Year 5 and 6 girl’s football team is playing in a tournament on Thursday 8th May.
