Christmas Show

Please collect your tickets for the Christmas Shows from the school office. Additional tickets will be allocated on Tuesday. Priority will be given to separated parents, parents/carers of Year 6 and Year 2 children. Thank you for your responses regarding future venues. Most of you it seems, would prefer a larger venue and would be happy to pay a donation towards a ticket. We will of course always try to secure a venue free of charge as we have done with the Komedia.

Christmas Post Box

You can find the Middle Street Christmas post box in the foyer. Please ensure that envelopes are clearly marked with full name and class number on the front. Year 6 will be running the Christmas postal delivery service.

Christmas Fair

We look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Fair on Thursday 18th December. Lots of fabulous festive activities and food to be enjoyed. We do have one rather unusual prize, which will be up for auction. Roberto Germaine of Healy’s solicitors is offering to advise and produce a Will for 2 people. The cost of this service would normally cost £326 so we are inviting bids from those of you interested. The highest bid wins (obviously). If you are interested in bidding for this service please complete a bidding form at the office and hand in to a member of the office staff. All bids must be in by Wednesday 17th December. The highest bid will be announced at the Christmas Fair on Thursday.

Choir Sing at Brighton Centre

The Choir sung at the Brighton and Hove Schools Carol Concert on Wednesday evening. Mr Brazil says they sung brilliantly, were impeccably behaved throughout the concert and were a real credit to themselves and the school.

No Clubs

All after school clubs will finish by Wednesday 10th December. Clubs will resume after the holidays.

Oops!

Recently a Fair Processing Notice was sent out to families. This is a generic letter. Unfortunately the letter sent out had the wrong school name on. However the information contained in the letter applies to Middle Street. If you would like a letter with the correct school name please ask at the office or access the Middle Street Fair Processing Notice via the school web site. Many apologies for the mistake and any confusion caused.

Spaces in Nursery

We currently have spaces in our morning and afternoon Nursery classes. Please let friends, neighbours and relatives know if you think they may be interested..

Dinner Money Debts

Please pay any outstanding dinner money debts before the holidays. Thank you.

Goodbye Ms Rollason

Today we have to say goodbye to Ms Rollason as she is moving on to a new post. Thank you Ms Rollason for all you have done to support the children of Middle Street. We shall miss you. Mr Andrew Wright who currently works 2 days a week in Year 1 will replace Ms Rollason in Year 2. A new member of staff will join us to replace Mr Wright. Ms Rebecca Balmer will work 2 days a week supporting children in Year 1.

Free Basketball Tickets

We have free children’s tickets for the Worthing Thunders game on 13th December. Please ask at the office.

Congratulations to …

Nadeen Alay in Year 1 who has achieved her level 1 swimming certificate. Well done Nadeen!

Christmas Break

We finish for the Christmas break on Friday 19th December and children return to school on Tuesday 6th January.
