A Funny Thing Happened
A funny thing happened in assembly to day! An alien arrived from outer space and told us all about the Thunderkids Superdads club in school this Saturday. He invited children to bring along their dads, male carers, granddads uncles etc for activities and fun.
The club is free and is ideal for children aged 5 to 10. The children get to have a go at a variety of activities with their dads, male carers and or male relatives with some time built in for the men to get together for some grown up chat. The session is held in the hall at Middle Street on Saturday February 6th starting at 9.00 and ending at 12.00. Drop in for the morning if you are interested.
On Time Teds
The winners this week are Reception and Years 3 and 4. Well done all three classes.
Subsidised Afterschool Care Club Fees
Starfish Kids Club who collect children from Middle Street are able to offer subsidised afterschool care places. They can offer a reduced fee from £9.45 per session to £3.00 per session. If your child is eligible for free school meals then they are eligible for the reduced rate sessions. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. For bookings and further information contact Dale Maloney on 01273 719520.
Sad News
Some of you may remember Mrs Amerena who used to come in and help the younger children with reading and sewing activities. She was a very kind old lady who gained a lot of pleasure spending time at Middle Street before she became unwell. We also appreciated her help and kindness so it is with sadness I am you that Mrs Amerena died the week before last. Mrs Denyer kindly represented Middle Street at the funeral.
