Although the team were unsuccessful overall they played brilliantly and were very supportive of each other. Their excellent team spirit and general good manners throughout the tournament earned the team a special mention at the end. Well done team we are exceptionally proud of you all!

Children and staff in Years 5 and 6 were celebrating 60s flower power today. Dressed as hippies they went along for their 60s bash held at the Friends Meeting House in Ship Street. Walk to School Week
Next week is Middle Street Walk to School week. Please make every effort to avoid jumping in the car and maybe jump on your bike and cycle to school or walk or catch the bus and walk from the bus stop. Those who travel in an environmentally friendly way to school will be rewarded with stickers. Teachers will be using a whole class walking log to record how children and adults travel to school.
Clothes and Shoes for School
Finally the summer months are upon us, I think. So here’s a reminder to all about children’s summer clothing and footwear. Girls and boys should wear tops which keep their shoulders covered to avoid sunburn at playtimes and other outdoor activities. Hats are good idea for all to wear outside. Children should avoid wearing flip flops of any style as accidents happen when children run around. We have also had accidents where children’s feet slip and get caught under doors. Children can bring suntan lotion in but it is their responsibility to put it on. Lotion should be kept in their drawers or can be handed into the office in a named container.
