Lovely Lunchtimes

Lunchtimes have improved this term. The food is delicious and children have been very positive about what’s on offer. Chip day is still favourite of course! Although there are more children in the hall in each sitting the atmosphere is much nicer. Many adults are now having their lunch with the children which everyone is enjoying. We will continue to further improve lunchtimes and as part of this we are working with Chartwells who provide the school lunches. On Tuesday 19th October a member of the Chartwells team will be joining us (as part of the ’Food in Schools’ programme) to talk with the children and staff about lunchtimes and what further improvements we can make.

Football News

Our girls and boys football teams are playing a number of tournaments this term. The girls got through to the quarter finals of the Brighton Small Schools tournament last week, winning all their games. The boy’s tournament planned for this afternoon has been cancelled due to the weather. More league games are coming up soon.

Walk to School Week

Walk to school week begins on Monday 11th October. So get those walking shoes on and earn yourself a sticker whilst helping to keep Brighton clean and green.

Parent Governor Elected

Votes have been handed in and counted for the 2 parents standing for parent governor. Chetana Parmar received the most votes and will therefore continue as parent governor. Thank you to Stuart Plant who also stood and received a high number of votes. It’s great to see parents eager to join our governing body.
