Gully the Albion Seagull

Gully joined Ms Moriarty in Tuesday’s assembly. Gully was there to help present certificates and prizes to children from year 5 and 6. Last term the children took part in sports sessions run for us by members of Brighton and Hove Albion football club. Ms Moriarty was a little unsettled by being cuddled by a large furry seagull!

Dick Whittington

The Dick Whittington performance was a huge success on Tuesday with the children. There was lots of audience participation including Mr Cappiccinni sharing with us his break dancing skills! Unfortunately I don’t think we have that on film for you all to enjoy. Sorry.

Food in Schools Workshops

Next week the Food in Schools team is in running healthy eating workshops with the children. They will join us for the day on Wednesday 2nd February. Parents and carers have been invited to join in so please do and return your invitation reply slips by Monday morning.

 Level Revamp Parents Workshop

Interested Parents and carers are invited in to school on Wednesday 2nd February to join in with the consultation on development of the Level project. The project team will be in school (probably the library) to share with you ideas, plans and drawings and to listen to your thoughts on proposed ideas. Please come along and take part. The session starts at 2. At the end of the day the team will be in the school playground to chat with parents and carers. You will of course remember that our school council is contributing their ideas on the development.

Congratulations to….

Matilda Barlow in Year 2 who has achieved her ASA 10 metres swimming award. Well done Matilda!

On Time Teds

The winners this week are in the Infants; Reception and Year 1 with 2 late marks each and in the Juniors Years 5 and 6 with 2 late marks each.  Well done to all 4 year groups!

Book Case Free to a Good Home

We have a tall black wood laminate bookcase we no longer need. It is in reasonably good condition. If you are interested in having it please ask at the school office. If you want to look at it first you can find the book case in the corner of the family room. If you want it it’s yours to take away as soon as possible.

Half Term Holiday

We finish for the half term holidays on Friday 18th February back on Monday 28th February.
