What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?

Our school nurse; Gill is off soon to Argentina to do some voluntary work in an orphanage. So today to help raise money for the children Gill will be working with , children came to school dressed in the clothes of the career they are interested in pursuing when they grow up. We have all been amazed at the variety of careers children are interested in which ranged from superheroes, princesses and fairies to forensic scientists to astronauts, actors,  singers, vets ,animal sanctuary managers,  and many more. Well done children  you looked amazing. Thank you too to those parents and carers who kindly came in to talk with children about their jobs.

Fruit or Veg Snacks Only Please

A reminder that children should only have fruit or veg for their snacks at break times. Lunchboxes should not contain sweets of any sort. Children’s behaviour in the afternoons is much more positive when they have had a healthy lunch free of additives and sugar.

Brighton V Huddersfield Game

On March 2nd Brighton and Hove Albion are playing Huddersfield at the Amex Stadium. Middle Street has been lucky enough to have been allocated a limited number of tickets for children. We have received these tickets because we a member of the Young Seagulls Schools Project. The cost of the ticket per child is £5 and includes entry to the Amex and travel. Staff members have agreed to give up some of their free time to accompany the children to the game. So I am sure you will agree this is an amazing opportunity. The offer is for children from Year 2 up to Year 6. If you would like to know more and haven’t yet received the letter, from Karen Busby do ask at the office about this opportunity.
