Tag Rugby

Our Tag Rugby team attended a tournament on Tuesday with Ms Whiting. They played extremely well and came second overall. Well done to all who took part.

Drumming Assembly

The children enjoyed an exciting assembly on Monday. Tribal Groove performed a drumming session using an array of drums. Some children were also able to have a go at drumming themselves.

Little Canada

Year 6 returned from Little Canada on Monday very tired but happy, having enjoyed a fun packed weekend. Thank you to Ms Stewart, Ms Moriarty and Mrs McGeachin who went along for the weekend with the children.
Please could Year 5 parents/carers return their permission slips for next years Little Canada trip by the end of term as we have to book the places.

Street Surfing

Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a day of ‘Street Surfing’ in the school playground. You may be wondering what Street Surfing is or you may be super cool and hip and know exactly what is. It involves skate boarding on a new style of board which has only 2 wheels. Looked a bit tricky to me but I’m sure with a bit of practice I’ll soon be whizzing down Middle Street doing all sorts of tricks!

School Association Cinema Night

Finally the big night has arrived! Everything is in place for you to have a great night out. Do come along this evening for a drink or two with friends or even make some new friends while your children watch the film ’Jump In’ in the hall on a large cinema screen.

Help Raise Funds for Middle Street

Two mums are planning to do the 60 mile Capital to Coast Bike Ride on Sunday 15th July. Joyoti and Chetana will give half the money they raise in sponsorship to the Middle Street School Association. The rest of the money goes to various charities. If you would like to sponsor Joyoti and Chetana please catch them in the playground or come in to the school office and sign up there.

Bike It Picnic

We are very pleased to announce that Gary our Bike It co-ordinator will be working with us again next year.
