FA Charter Standard Awards Evening

Ms Busby and Mr Collins went along to receive our FA Charter Standard School Award on Tuesday evening. We are the county winners of the award beating many schools in the county so we feel very proud. You can take a look at the award, which is displayed in the cabinet situated by the main doors. There are also photographs on our web site of Ms Busby receiving the award. Well done Ms Busby!

Meeting for Reception Parents

Mrs Noble is holding a meeting for Reception parents on Wednesday 26th September at 2.30 in the school library. The meeting is to inform parents/carers on daily routines and curriculum coverage.

Our Education Welfare Officer will be monitoring children’s punctuality in the mornings. Just to remind you children should be in school and in class by 9.00 a.m. when the register is taken. If they are later than this then they receive a late mark in the register.

Spanish Club

I have been informed of a Spanish club running for children at the Hanover Community Centre in Southover Street. If you wish to find out more please tel: 323431.

Joyoti and Chetana would like to thank everyone who sponsored their bike ride last term. They raised over hundred pounds half of which they are donating to the Norwood Children and Families Trust and the other half to the School Association. Well done Joyoti and Chetana and thank you very much on behalf of the School Association.

Mr Brazil’s Workshop

As part of Brighton’s car free day this coming Sunday Mr Brazil will be running a drum making workshop outside Brighton Town Hall. Mr Brazil would love it if lots of Middle Street children came along to join in. The workshop will run throughout the afternoon.

Amendment to Your Diary Dates

You may or may not have noticed a clash of dates in the class assembly section. Please amend you dairy dates sheet for Year 2 class assembly which should read Friday 15th February. Sorry if the mistake has caused any confusion.
