Pyjama Day

Finn and Freddy from Year 2 are delighted with the response to their pyjama day Children in Need fundraising day. Thank you to Finn and Freddy for a great idea. We have had such a cosy day!

Congratulations Rufus!

Rufus recently entered a competition to win an apple tree. The competition ran over all the Brighton and Hove schools and was organised by the Eden schools meals service. To enter children were asked to draw or paint an orchard. Rufus created his artwork using oil pastels, entered the competition and won! Rufus has very kindly donated his apple tree prize to the school. So our gardening club will be busy planting the apple tree very soon. Well done Rufus and thank you!

Diwali Celebrations

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had a fabulous time on Tuesday and Wednesday celebrating Diwali. They took part in lots of activities making including  Rangoli patterns, Mehndi patterns on their hands and making Divas which are special Diwali lamps. Hannah, Prian, Parin and Vrishti’s families all joined in and worked hard to bring this special day alive for the children and for the staff. They also cooked lots of delicious food for the children. Thank you to those lovely families we all had such a lovely time learning about Diwali.

Rainforest Adventures

Years 3 and 4 visited the Living Rainforest in Berkshire on Monday. The visit was to support the work they are doing as part of their Rumble in the Jungle learning journey.

Individual Photos

Today the children had their photographs taken. They all looked beautiful of course. Sorry you were not forewarned in the Friday News I missed the diary entry somehow. We do always ensure the children look their best for their photos so I am sure you will have as always some delightful photos in time for Christmas.
