Canterbury Capers

Mr Collins, Mrs Walker and I enjoyed our visit to the Teaching Awards ceremony in Canterbury. We were all very nervous and excited so it was a relief when Mr Collins’ name was called out. I am very proud to inform you that Mr Collins was awarded a ‘Distinction’ and received a certificate and a trophy. Mr Collins was just pipped at the post by a teacher from a school in Ramsgate.
In our eyes, of course, Mr Collins is a winner!
Well done Mr Collins everyone at Middle Street is very proud of you.

Sunny Sports Day

There must be something special about Middle Street sports days. We always manage to have a sunny day, which is amazing considering how the weather has been recently. What a fabulous day we had and such fantastic support from Parents and Carers. Thank you so much for all your kind and appreciative comments as you left. It is good to know that all the hard work and organisation that goes in to sports day is appreciated.
The winning teams were in 3rd place: Blue Team, in 2nd place: Yellow Team and the winning team was Red Team. Well done to all the teams and the fantastic sportsmanship demonstrated by all!

Year 6 got off to a soggy start to their weekend in Little Canada. I don’t think they noticed the wind and rain though, as they were so excited about their weekend of adventure. They arrived safely on the Isle of Wight this afternoon.

Blackberry Farm

Nursery and Reception children are a hardy bunch. They certainly didn’t let a bit of rain put them off their trip to Blackberry Farm. Lots of fun was had by all.
