Sorry Misinformation!
Last week I said that the BBC Southern Counties Middle Street feature would be broadcast on that Friday at 3.35 pm. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong information, which I then passed onto you. Middle Street has in fact been the BBC Southern Counties ‘school of the week’ this week. Each day Middle Street has featured at 3.25 and 3.35 for 5 minutes each time. The presenter of the programme was very impressed by the children’s confidence and the interesting things they had to say.
Learning Journey Curriculum Letters
This week you should have received from the class teacher an outline of your child’s class Learning Journey for this term. We are in the process of improving the termly class curriculum letter to ensure you are provided with all the information you need about your child’s learning. We will base the improvements on suggestions made by parent/carers in the Learning Journey feedback questionnaires.

Nit Weekend
We are having quite a problem with head lice at the moment. Please could all parents/carers check children’s and their own hair this weekend and deal with any unwanted ‘pets’. If we all do it this weekend and then check regularly then we could make itchy heads a thing of the past.
New Lost Property Storage
The lost property boxes can be found in the main corridor leading through the junior cloakroom area. We now have more appropriate storage for the lost property, which we hope will make it easier for you to find lost items. Please take a few minutes to check through lost property each week. Please could you remember to name your child’s clothing including PE kits and PE bags.
On Time Teds
The winners this week are Year 1 and Year 5. Well done to both year groups and their punctual parents and carers.
Dinner Money Please
Please keep up to date with dinner money payments. If you are entitled to free school meals but have not applied please ask at the office for more information on how to do so.
Little Canada Payments
Year 6 parents and carers please check with the office that your payments for the Little Canada residential are up to date.
Half Term Break
School closes on Friday 13th February at 3.00 for the half term break. Children return to school on Monday 23rd February.
