Mrs Noble to Retire!

Hard to believe I know, but Mrs Mary Noble is retiring in July. Middle Street will not be the same without Mrs Noble’s happy and kind presence in the school. Mrs Noble has been a teacher at Middle Street for many years. To celebrate Mrs Noble’s retirement she would like to invite you all along to a special afternoon tea in the school hall on Thursday 16th July. The tea begins at 3.00 p.m. I will, of course remind you of the date nearer the time.

Fabulous Festival Parade

Middle Street looked fabulous on Saturday as we took part in the Children’s Festival Parade. The Samba band was outstanding and we all enjoyed moving to those funky Latin beats. Thank you to all the parents and carers who organised and prepared every thing for the parade. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated by myself and all the Middle Street staff. You did a brilliant job with excellent results.

Book Fair

We are holding a book fair in school next week. Books will be on sale in the library everyday after school next week.

The school benefits via commission from the sale of the books so please come along and help raise funds for the school. Money raised will go towards the purchase of new books for the school library and classrooms.

On Time Teds

We have joint winners in both Key Stages this week. In Key Stage 1 the winners are Year 1 and Year 2 with no late marks. Excellent punctuality! Well done to both the year groups. In Key Stage 2 Year 3 and year 4 are joint winners with only 4 late marks. Well done Year 3 and Year 4!

Important Dates

Sports day is on Thursday 25th June in the morning. Sports day is held at Withdean Stadium. Following the event children are free to go home with their parents or carers.

We are closed on this day as parts of Middle Street School are used as a polling station for the Parliamentary elections.
