National School Meals Week

Next week is National School Meals Week. We want to encourage as many children to have a school dinner that week (and beyond). Children can collect stickers on a reward card for each day they have a school dinner. Full cards are put into a city wide draw to win a family day out for 4 at the Sealife centre.

Having a school dinner is an excellent way for parents to be sure their child has a healthy lunch and it saves time and stress in the mornings preparing lunch boxes. We have noticed children’s improved behaviour and concentration when they have healthy lunches of fruit and vegetables. See reverse for the menu for next week.

High Time for Parents Event

This event will be of interest to parents and carers of children with special needs. It is an opportunity to get an overview of services that support children with disabilities and children with special needs. There will be an information fair, opportunities to chat with different services as well as meet other parents and carers. The event takes place on Friday 19th November from 9.45 to 1 pm and the venue is Hove town hall.

On Time Ted Winners

This week’s Key Stage 1 winner is Year 1 with 0 late marks. In Key Stage 2 the winners are Year 5 and Year 6 with 0 late marks. Well done to both classes.
