Welcome Back

We hope you all had an enjoyable and restful Easter break. Did the Easter bunny leave lots of chocolate eggs for you? We have a busy term ahead of us which we are all looking forward to.

Easter Tea and Raffle

We all very much enjoyed the School Association’s Easter Afternoon Tea. They have raised £291.72. We still have some plates used for the tea, belonging to parents who helped on the day. Please come and collect yours from the Family Room.

Guess the Baby competition

It has been very amusing watching everyone trying to match the baby photos to members of staff. The children have been intrigued and even staff members have not been able to match everyone. There is still time to enter the competition. The prize is a box of chocolates.

Dance at the Dome

Our Year 3 children have been practising their stunning stomp style dance ready for their performance at the Dome on Monday evening.
Good Luck Year 3!

French Classes

You should have received a letter about after school French Classes beginning next week. If your child is interested in joining this class please let the office know as soon as possible. The cost is £40, which includes a CD to use at home.

Residential Trips Payment

Parents of Year 6 children who are going to Little Canada and haven’t paid up to date must do so now as we have to send off the payments to Little Canada.
Pyke House payments from Year 4 parents are also required. If you have any difficulty with payments please let me know.

Valuables in School

Please can I remind you of our school policy on children bringing valuable items in to school. Many children bring mobile phones and Gameboys to school, Tamagotchies (have I spelt that correctly, I wonder) are also very popular and precious to the owner. The Governors and staff, some time ago agreed that we would allow such items into school but only on the condition that parents and children understood that the school can not take responsibility for their safe keeping. Children are welcome to hand in their phones etc in to the office but many children chose not to do this. If something is really precious or valuable then our advice is to keep it safe at home.

Summer School Booklets

We have booklets available at the office detailing the Brighton and Hove Music and Performing Arts Summer School activities. Please come and collect one if you are interested.

Congratulations to…

Anna Rubinstein in Year 1 for achieving her 5 metre crawl, swimming certificate. Well Done Anna.
Ruby Webber in Year 5 for achieving her level 6 British Gymnastics Trampoline Award. Well Done Ruby.
