We’ll Meet Again
Year 6 shared with us their knowledge of the community spirit during the war. They performed extracts from their diaries and sang some familiar songs. Well done Year 6 your class assembly was brilliant!
Food in Schools Day
The Food in Schools team was in again this week to run healthy eating workshops for Nursery, Reception, Year 2 and Year 6. As last week the children learnt lots of healthy eating facts, tried some delicious healthy food and performed in a special assembly for their parents and carers at the end of the day.
Investigations Week
Next week the whole school will spend their time on maths and science investigations. On Monday and Tuesday there will be activities in the hall to which parents and carers are invited to join in with. A letter was sent home earlier this week with details and a timetable. So do come in and join in with the fun!
Middle Street Farm
As part of our science and maths investigations week a farm will magically appear in the main playground on Friday. There will be a selection of animals at school for each class to visit and pet. They will be accompanied by a handler who can talk to the children about the animals and their care. The animals will be in the playground from first thing Friday morning so the entrance in Middle Street will not be open on Friday. Everyone should enter the school from the main gate in Boyce’s street on that day. Please could you help us by reminding children about remaining calm and sensible when looking at the animals. We would appreciate a £1 donation towards the cost of the farm visit. Thank you
Ducks, Geese and Years 1 and 2
Year 1 and 2 are visiting the Arundel Wildfowl Trust centre on Tuesday as part of their Learning Journey; Wild and Wonderful.
Discovery Recital
Key Stage 2 children will be watching a performance from the Brighton and Hove music service. They will perform a range of music involving stringed instruments. The aim is to encourage the children to take up learning a musical instrument.

Request for Actors
I am passing on to you a request for a couple of children aged 7 and 9 to audition for an advert. The advert is for an electric car. The film company is ‘Progress Films’. If your child is interested in appearing in an advert (although this is not an advert for the public domain) please contact Amy on 07825561342. Please remember that it is your responsibility to check out the company and if you enter in to an agreement with the film company it has nothing to do with the school. In no way do we endorse this company or any product they may advertise. We are simply passing on a request which may be of interest to you as we know some children in the school act and model.
Half Term Holiday
We finish for the half term holidays on Friday 18th February back on Monday 28th February.
