Magic Lantern
Children from Year 1 to Year 6 enjoyed an informative visit to the cinema today set up by the Magic Lantern club. The club’s aim is to help children appreciate and learn about film and its history. The children can join a club if they enjoy today’s free taster session. Letters were sent home with children providing information about the club.
Y3 and Their Busy Week
Year 3 have had a very busy week this week. On Monday the children went along to the Jubilee Library to meet the author Julia Donaldson. Led by Julia they performed a play; The Magic Paintbrush. At the end of the session the children had their books signed by Julia Donaldson. On Wednesday the children enjoyed a Tabla drumming workshop led by Steve Morley. They learnt to play the drums correctly. There were different sized drums and a variety of other Indian instruments to play. Ms Busby especially enjoyed playing the large frog instrument.
Keeping Warm and Dry
Please ensure your child brings a coat to school during the autumn and winter months. The children are outside at least twice a day and many are cold because they do not have a coat with them to put on.

If you have this talent and skill and would like to play at the school’s Christmas Shows please let the office staff know. You will need to be available to perform on the days of the performance and at rehearsals.
