Christmas Winter Fair

The Christmas winter fair was fabulous and very well attended. Father Christmas had a lot of visitors and was joined by his fairy who looked remarkably like Miss Bish.

The karaoke was in constant use and the bar was popular too! The Middle Street adult choir sung which I hope was a treat for you all. The raffle was announced in assembly this morning. The winner of the digital camera was Jacob Foster in Year 6 and the Ipod Touch was won by a very pleased Georgia Atter in Year 5.

Thank you to the team of parents and carers who worked hard to put on this wonderful event for us all.

New Sainsbury’s Opened by Year 5 Children

A group of Year 5 children went along first thing this morning to help with the official opening of the new Sainsbury’s in North Street. Georgia Atter cut the ribbon to open the store. We have collected Sainsbury’s vouchers in the past to help with purchasing sports’ equipment and Sainsbury’s by way of saying thank you for this morning are donating money to the school.

Christmas Shows

I am at a loss for words! Unusual I know. Middle Street children are truly amazing! I am sure like me you were blown away by the fantastic Christmas shows performed yesterday by the very talented Middle Street children. The acting was amazing the singing was stunning the costumes were perfect, the props were fabulous. Well done to everyone and thank you to all the adults who worked hard with the children to put on two wonderful shows. Thank you too to all the parents, carers, family and friends who came along to watch the shows. Your enthusiasm and support is greatly appreciated. I missed someone off the long thank you list yesterday and that was Mrs Walker who kindly transported the piano and instruments. Sorry Mrs Walker and thank you too.

Snow!

What do I know! I said it wouldn’t snow and it did, worse than last year. So please accept my apologies for the 2 days of school closure last week. Thank goodness it went away as quickly as it arrived. Hopefully that’s it for this year.
