Year 6 went along to Moshi Moshi on Tuesday and enjoyed a cooking lesson. They finished the session by eating what they produced. Yummy! Our other year groups will be visiting Moshi Moshi over the coming weeks.

Harmonious Adult Choir
Thank you to those of you who joined us for our first adult choir session yesterday. We had great fun and surpassed ourselves by learning 2 songs sung in beautiful harmonies! Stop laughing it really was beautiful. Next week’s session is on Thursday although the school is closed the choir will still go ahead but at 4.00 – 5.00. It’s not too late to join, come on don’t be shy.
On Time Teds
The winners last week were Year 6 with 0 late marks and Year 2 with only 1 late mark. Very well done both classes. This week the winners are Year 2 and Joint winners in Key Stage 2 are Year 4 and Year 5. Well done all 3 classes!
Children’s Festival Parade
The parade takes place this Saturday 1st May. Middle Street’s number is 8 this year so we are very near to the front of the parade. We will assemble in Kensington Street from 9.45 am, look for the number 8 flag fluttering above the crowds. The parade begins at 10.30.
Our theme this year is the polar region. Our main structure is an Inuit in a canoe. Children and adults should come dressed as Intuits e.g.: wearing parkas or hooded tops with fur edging, colour of outfits should be brown, or as polar bears or fish, colours of outfits should be either white or blue.
Super Hero Day
On Friday May 21st children (and parents if they wish) can come to school dressed as a superhero. The day is in aid of raising funds for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice. Dress up and donate whatever you wish. Donations can be handed in to the school office.
Rufus has lost his Coat!
It’s a dark brown parka with fur around the hood and has a John Rocha label inside. It’s a size 5 to 6 years. Rufus is really upset and would love to find his coat. Please could you check if you have one similar that you haven’t picked Rufus’ coat up by mistake. Please hand in to Mrs Denyer in reception or into the office.
Congratulations to….
Daniel Hoser in year 2 who has achieved his green belt in Karate. Well done Daniel!
Zeke in Year 4 who has achieved his 50 metre swimming badge. Well done Zeke!
Flynn Smith in Year 3 who has achieved his blue belt in Karate. Flynn achieved the highest grade in that class! Well done Flynn!
Please Go To The Park
Occasionally some parents at the end of the day are spending a very long time (until after 4) sitting in the playground chatting and unfortunately children are getting equipment out which then gets damaged and left for teachers to tidy away. Please could I ask the small minority of parents who do stay for longer to go along to a nearby park or the seafront where they can chat and children can play away from school safely? Thank you
